Christopher Riley has directed and produced on over eighty programmes for BBC Television and presented and reported and presented on over three hundred radio programmes. He has worked on many of the BBC's iconic science strands from Tomorrow's World and Horizon to Science Now and Science in Action. He conceived the high impact UK commercial radio science series IBM Solutions and pioneered live web casting for BBC online. In 2004 he was presented with the Sir Arthur Clarke award for his work producing Space Odyssey - Voyage to the Planets. He directed and produced on the 2007 film In the Shadow of the Moon which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, where it won the World Cinema Audience Award. The following year he acted as executive producer and director on the Discovery Science Channel series Moon Machines and produced and directed the inovative teen drama "Jeffery's Story" for the social networking site Bebo. He is the producer of the restored and remastered original Apollo documentary Moonwalk One and produced and directed the unique 2011 film First Orbit.
