Space - A look at how far away space is, what it takes to get there, and what we need to take to survive.  The talk will be illustrated with video clips shot on board Shuttle missions, and European Space Agency zero gravity flights.

Audience: children (from key stage 1-4)

Duration: 1 hr lecture, (+ typically 30 min of questions).

Fee: £180 + vat (half day) £300 + vat (whole day)

The Solar System in an hour - a cut down version of the talk below - spanning a general introduction to the solar system and an up to date look at the new planets which have been discovered in recent years.  Together we debate what the definition of a planet should be and therefore what should be counted as a planet, and what not!    The talk is illustrated by video clips simulating the surfaces of some of our neighbouring planets.

Duration: 1 hr lecture, (30 min questions).

Fee: £180 + vat (if within a half day travel from home)

The Solar System - An all day presentation about the solar system - it's origins and evolution, the diversity of worlds which make it up and the history of our robotic exploration of the planets.  Weather and space permitting this talk involves creating a scale model of the solar system, using the audience's help.

Audience: children (from key stage 1-4)  Duration: All Day  Fee: £300 + vat

The Above talk can also be broken down into two half day sessions covering the inner solar system and the outer solar system, (see below).

The Rocky Planets - A look at the history of our exploration of Mars, Venus and Mercury, their alien landscapes and extreme atmospheres.

The Outer Planets - A look at the history of our exploration of the outer planets and their rocky moons.

Space Odyssey Live - the stories of the real robotic missions which helped inform the fictional story told in the BBC 1 TV series.  Illustrated with previously unseen, behind the scenes, clips from the series Chris will weave the stories of our real robotic exploration of the solar system with an extraordinary picture of where human spaceflight could have taken us by now if we hadn't stopped at the Moon.  The talk involves simulations of some of the extreme environments found on our neighbouring planets and is suitable for adults and children.

Audience: Family      Duration: 3 hour set up and 1 hour lecture.       Fee: £450 + vat
